The Mom/DarleneThomson: I love writing poetry. I am usually inspired by a word, a thought, a smell, a person, or a sound. If I don't start writing when I am inspired that "poem" starting in my head will just keep going and going. I have actually had to get up in the middle of the night to write in order to get some sleep. I love to listen to people, watch them, or talk to them. I love nature, walking in the woods, sitting by the water. My pet peeve is the typo and the toilet seat up.

    poetadeu: We have a few likenesses that are surprising,
    but natural to someone who lives in the
    world of poetry. I write them in my thoughts
    as I watch the birds feed. Write them as I
    view the sky and wonder if He is watching
    down here and so I sing to him a simple rhyme. Crazy maybe some would say, but

    God did answer my prayer that the kids did lose everything. So far they found at last count 15 pair of cattle and singed bull The truck may be a total lost it looks like they may be able to fix it. mostly for me because that is what I use do for a living fighting Forest-fires they got out alive. I know it could of been the other way. So far in this state we have had three people die due to the fires, and we still have over a mouth to go let in this fire season. I am glad I am to old to fight them any more. LOL -

The Mom/DarleneThomson: I was born in Washington state to a career Navy family. I now reside in Rhode Island. I have 2 wonderful sons, 1 is a step so that makes him extra special. I will soon be a first time grandma. I have been writing poetry for many years. I have been published by Noble House. I hope that my poetry will someday lead to a career in songwriting. I also dream of becoming poet laureate for my state
