This poem is well illustrated by a cute dog. It shows us the charcteristics of a love and loving pet.
Congrats for the honorable mention in the contest.

Oh Deb
You had me at that sweet Springer Spaniel face! That puppy face and eyes and tongue and expression fit our sweet sweet boy Nagi Blue to a tee. Our boy is no longer a puppy.....but an old guy now...But you know what Deb....he still smells like biscuits to us.
He still wags his tale, give us his belly to rub and wraps his warmth around us at night when we go to sleep.
Yes, indeed The Look of Love says it all.

Congrats on your recognition for this charming poem. The closing stanza is especially delightful--now excuse me while I go smell my dog's back and rub his belly. Cheers. LIZ

Oh, what a precious pooch, but, more importantly, what a wonderful offering describing him!! ;) This one hardly needs the pic for the wonderful image you've painted for us, my lady! ;) Thanx for sharing! ;) Yvette
Sorry so far behind - will be permanently "caught up" and "in a routine" by the end of the week (unless the 'unexpected' happens...lol!)

Hi Debs,
Your love for Molly can be felt here. You have used this form effectively to convey three different qualities a pet dog has for his/her human. I love dogs so much, but can't keep one due to work. When pandemic is over, I'll finally have to go to the office. LOL. I enjoyed reading this. Good luck! :)
Regards,
Anupam

Hey Anupam :)
Thanks for your lovely feedback.
Hope it's safe for you to go back the office soon. Working from home is nice (my husband has been working from our lounge since mid March) but sometimes, a bit of routine and structure is welcome!
Stay safe :)

Hi there Debra!
Beautiful poem about the dog. I have 2 dogs a black cur and a pit bull. They both have the look of love which is God sent! (Dog spelled backward is God!) This is very positive message you have given us makes my day! Keep on writing from your eye look artist.
Peace be with you and yours,
Urial

Oh, I have two dogs I love like this - sweet eyes and eager little tails and the often smell so good - I just want to bury my nose in them. Yes, I understand "drinking" them in. what a sweet face - springer spaniels are also very smart!

Good luck in the 3-6-9 competition. I can just see Molly with an ever-wagging tail and refusing to sit still for you. Dogs are certainly incredibly devoted and great companions.

What a cutie. Your words describe this little puppy well. I could see everything you mentioned. For this contest you need 3 stanzas. Please revise if there is time.
Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan

Hello Jan :)
Thank you so much for your great feedback.
I really appreciate you pointing out that a requirement of the contest was to have 3 stanzas - How silly of me to miss such an important detail!! I've added 2 more stanzas to my original poem.
Thanks again, Debra :) x
