Plain, simple, to the point. It has a beginning, a middle and an end and doesn't drag on. Nice work. I like how it started with a knock and ended with a doorbell.

Lovely, brief, and to the point. It reminds me of the old story about a philosophy exam in which one of the questions was: "Is this a question?" The best answer was: "If it is, then this is the answer." However, I expect you will not win the contest as readers will feel deprived of a full story with characterisation.
