I like your poem's flow. I think it works well without punctuation.

Thank you, Eve. I am in my 70's, so it could have been a host of loved ones that have passed. If I could wish for one, it would be my Dad who loved Cardinals. They are lovely

I like this poem which is pretty and conveys a happy message from beyond the nitty gritty of real civilized life that we all face now. I think that we all need symbols of joy and happiness that nature supplies in abundance if we look closely
