I like your poem and how you make it into a form of worship. It is simple as dandelions are, but with so much to offer. Yesterday, my granddaughter picked dandelions for me. I put them with their very short stems in a tiny vase. A field or yard full of dandelions is lovely. I wrote a haiku a while with a similar message.

Yes, I like your poem. Dandelions are pretty - remember when we used to pick them and hold them under the chin - to see if someone loved us or not? - There are many other "unsightly" type things that give me pleasure. Ranchers don't like juniper - but in the late afternoon when the sun warms their cracked bark - it's so pretty.

I loved this free verse, and I was actually captivated by the way you entwined the free verse with prose. I am not sure how that would work for the judges. My only negative comment is I know how hard it is to replace the word "god" etc, but do you really need to reference it so religiously? just a thought. Good Luck Val

I couldn't agree more! Dandelions make healthy tea and salad greens. It's all how you look at it. When I was looking at our yard yesterday. I saw a family of bunnies and another of baby skunks frolicking amongst the weeds. What's good enough for them is good enough for me. No worries...

Dandelions are abundant everywhere, they are delightful and I love poems about them too! They make wallpaper with dandelions on and jewellery too! A happy fun and uplifting write with no particular rhyming or meter, although these are fun sentiments, love Dolly x

Dandelions are pretty little flowers. It's just that ugly stem that is left standing there after all the little paratroopers' take flight. LOL If only they would lay down.
They are not that attractive. I would have a carpet of yellow if it were not for the stems. LOL Good Job Judy.
