Hello Yvette!
Wow! What a spectacular bird! He has a Jamaican thing going on there! :) And here I thought I knew my birds; this colorful guy is definitely new to me! Your poem is as energetic as your friend! Love it!

This is my favorite of the Birds of Paradise, Diane -- absolutely love them all, but this guy is special among them....think it's that tail of his! :) Thanx for dropping by, ma'am and blessings for the weekend up there! :) Yvette

Wow. What an amazingly beautiful bird! Your photo and information are wonderful. Love to read a great little poem and learn all at the same time. Enjoyed your description/word choice "finger paints." Hope you do well in the contest.

The colors on this bird truly are magnificent. I like the way you use the same colors in the text. Nice color segue. I appreciate the extended afternote explain the origin of the different colors and whether it is skin pigment or feathers. Good job.

Very fascinating and imformative. Your flow is organized well, for a few words you packed in information needed. Great job on this little one. Well done

Wow! I've never seen this bird until now. I'll be fifty-seven Friday, and since I've been all over the world, one would think I'd have seen every bird there is. But I guess I was wrong. This bird is beyond words. It looks made up. I will have to find out more about it.

Well done! you perfectly portrayed this gorgeous little bird in very few words so that is a real skill, and loved reading your description of the bird too as I had never seen one before.

Wow! What brilliant colors beautify this lovely bird! Love your descriptive 5-7-5 piece on this amazing creature. To "paint" its colors within your poem is the perfect analogy! Wonderfully composed!
