Hello Ricky1024
You deserve a six for you poem of what Faith is and how we keep our faith here to me of what you wrote is so important
"To find, 'Faith,' they must firstly have found themselves and given themselves to the Lord...
"And beg for forgiveness."
Yes, you inspired me to post my thoughts of what having faith means to me.
Thank you
Gert

Tygart I'm already glad you enjoyed the facepalm even write about it but I have a great idea and a great title why don't you call your poem inspiration which is basically the same thing and then you can also add your thoughts on faith as you're writing about what what it takes for you to be inspired in this so sorry world today with the second coming of Sodom Gomorrah in the greater depression doctor Ricky 1024

The hypnotic effect of the alliterations repeating and repeating throughout this piece was marvelous. I really liked the musical elements you created here in this poem. It is kind of conversational, but still very much a musical piece. I think it could do with some more images, just to give it some color, shape, and get the reader feeling as much as he is thinking. It is a little cerebral, it could be a little more emotional, and the way to get there is through images. This is close to being a really strong free verse or prose poem estory

Another fine poem, Ricky! The art work is phenomenal. Great choice!
The sentence that states that faith has a different meaning for everyone and then goes on to illustrate that point is priceless. The closing stanza is a great way to end the poem, in a sense defining one definition of faith - gratitude.
Good job!

""To Define 'Faith."
"Each and every Night...
(Before I go to sleep)
"I first take my boots off and place them below my bed."
"And then, I go above...
"To rest my weary head...." ... I hope you're facing your shoes and boots with the toes pointing outward while placing them under your bed, Dr. Ricky.
It's considered bad luck to do otherwise.
Hebrews 11:1 says:
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

There is nothing complicated in defining faith. It is accepting something without physical proof. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read.
(You have mistakes, but I was unable to correct them. )
Misspelled words, failure to include a space between two words.

I guess faith is by its very definition. biblically speaking, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for,, the evidence of things not seen" Hebrews 11:1, otherwise it can't be faith. Beautifully written, Rocky, in articulate language, well done, blessings, and merry Christmas, Roy

Thanks Roy for your Biblical quote on the word face I've always believed the after nine-one-one and earth started turning backwards we had lost faith in the United States are allowing such in it catastrophe to happen that's why most likely our current president is so Hellbound on keeping those type of people out and people put him down just because I think he's a racist when it comes to tightening the borders I think our forefathers would have wanted that for they made this nation great and they know that it's now bruised thanks for your time and review

A very well-written poem and definition of faith. Faith is to have a fixed trust on the things we can see and a hope on the things we cannot see. That we will receive the mercy of God.
Merry Christmas to you and your family
