MelB: I want to thank everyone who supported me in the election piece I posted. It had 180 views with 39 reviews, and only 3 of them were negative reviews. That is a record for this part-time writer! I want to thank the 140 viewers that probably disagreed with me and just passed on saying something negative, although a few people did bash me on the forum. I believe my daily prayers stopped this from getting worse. One person boosted my post with their own member cent pumps and asked to copy the article to send to family. My aunt sent the piece to her Pastors in 2 different states. All I can say is WOW! I'm blessed.
damommy: Good for you! I'm happy for you. It was a powerful piece. You found you had more support than you knew. 8-) -
~Dovey: I'm happy that you found positivity from that post. :) -
MelB: Thanks for your support two Damommy and Dovey. I appreciate you:) -
Luna: Are you possibly a Melody B. who lived on Church St.? -

MelB: Does anyone know what happened to the following: Fez (feral from Melanda), Alexisleech, Jennpenn, Doggymad?
michaelcahill: I know Fez was having internet connection problems. -
robyn corum: oh wow. I've been missing Doggymad, but didn't know about the others. I know ProSongwriter is having problems with his chemo, but is mostly doing okay. -
MelB: I heard that too about Fez, but haven't seen a post in a long time. -
MelB: I saw a post recently from Doggymad on Facebook, but nothing on here. -
sandramitchell: Alexis is fine, she is busy doing her French villa up for guests, I am going to stay there for a few days in September,(big smiles) She told me to tell you all she will be back writing soon and sends her love. -
MelB: Thanks for the update Sandra! Tell her hello for me. I look forward to her return. -

MelB: I am blown away by the incredible responses and reviews on my Abuse Series poems. I put every emotion I have in my writing and to know these poems have touched others has truly touched my heart! Thank you, thank you, thank you FanStory Family! I love you!

Wait, that didn't quite come out right. :-)) -

flylikeaneagle: MelB: my daughter gets verbally abused at school everyday by a gang of girls. Yes, girls. I tell Annie to look at these girls like they are turkeys scratching dirt. Then, I tell her to spread her wings and fly like an eagle. She graduates in two months and already has jobs lined up for her in Colorado. God has plans for her. flylikeaneagle -
MelB: Flylikeaneagle: I'm no stranger to verbal abuse. I'm sorry for what your daughter has had to endure. They sound like very insecure girls! It sounds like God does have big plans for your daughter. -

MelB: Looking for advice on publishing first book. Should I use a pen name or real name? Would a pen name even protect me? How do you promote a book under a pen name?
I am Cat: WHY would you want to use a pen name? Isn't the entire point of writing a book to be able to say..."Hey! I wrote that book!" ;) -
MelB: I don't want to use a pen name, but it is what everyone keeps suggesting. I'm going to PM you about this one. -
Margaret Snowdon: Hi, Mel - I use my own name on all my books - wouldn't you prefer to do the same so that you're recognized? Good luck. M -
MelB: Yes, I would prefer to use my own name. But, I would prefer not to get sued by many abusers in the book. I have changed names, but they may not be enough. -
