Wonder what Luke is hoping to get out of this. The crystal makes me think of the wicked witch in" The Wizard of Oz" Catchy set of questions at the end--like in a soap opera.

The contrast between the fairy story format and the modern idiom of the dialogue sets up a constant source of amusement. That and the regular rhythm both conspire to be delightful. The trochee suits this well, giving the tale a jaunty air.

Hi deb, well. this is a wonderful story in a poem, I'm afraid I missed the first part so i will look in your portfolio for it, this section flows like a mountain stream, it has great description and imagery with wonderful rhyming and rhythm, I look forward to the next poem in this series.
