I love this poem for the rhyme, but far more for the wisdom you shine with poetic words. I need to listen more and talk less! I am so thankful for the healing Jesus gives and that you shared it here.

-Very nice artwork and presentation, Debi.
-You wrote good rhyming couplets with a good topic.
-I agree with your first verse about needing courage
to make it through the day and sunshine helps.
-It is important to listen to others when they
want to share or maybe need a kind nudge.
-Having an understanding listener is also important.
-Very good closing verses. Thanks for sharing
your uplifting messages, my friend.

Hi Pam, thank you so much for this lovely review and comments. You know how much I appreciate you, and thank you again, my lovely friend.

I have to ask you about that poem you said you were going to post. I was over to your area and I looked and I couldn't find it? I do see plenty of things to review and so sorry I am so behind. I don't get enough screen time allowed to me to keep up. But I wanted you to know I did look for that piece.

You are very welcome, Debi. I assume it was related to one of your poems. My brain is drawing a blank, but will try to figure it out. If you know what poem of yours it was that would be helpful.

You said you had gone to symphonic orchestra and you showed me a poem

I sent that in an e-mail but didn't post it. Do you need me to re-send it?

No, but that's what I was looking for. You said you would post the next AM

I guess I had one of those brain lapses. I got carried away about the thunder storm which I don't like!

As I read this one, Debi, your words gave a sense of peace and I think that comes from knowing we all have different emotions to overcome, and find the strength to get through however it works for us. Beautifully written Debi, cheers

Let Jesus be the judge. That's what I am coming around to. Politics come and go, the machinations of mankind go where they go. But I am getting to old to worry about all this stuff. I want to enjoy the next few years, do some travelling, enjoy my garden, things like that. estory

estory, I couldn't agree more. We need to give it to Jesus and not worry about things anymore. It took me a long time to get used to not having control. I love the less stress in my life now.
So I thank you so much for such a kind review and such thoughtful comments for this poem. I appreciate it so very much.

This poem reads like a heartfelt prayer wrapped in verse, Debi.
Gentle, steady, and sincere.
The voice is calm and encouraging, offering little truths in soft rhyme: "Some optimism so the sun will try to shine our way" is a lovely early line that sets the tone with hope.
What really stands out is the emphasis on kindness-listening, caring, understanding.
Those reminders come across clearly without ever feeling preachy. The faith-based lines are woven in naturally, with "We need the rest and healing only Jesus Christ can give" acting as the poem's spiritual centre.
The closing couplet brings a peaceful close, ending on a soft note of trust and comfort: "Each night He'll give us comfort as He helps us fall asleep." That quiet winding down works especially well, like a final line of reassurance at the end of a trying day.
Warm, accessible, and gently devotional-this one carries a lovely, restful message
Tim x

This is so good. Superbly written in a great display of faith. Your words flow so delightfully as they deliver your message of belief. It gives me great hope to discover there are so many people out there who share my belief and values.

HeyDebi, this is a pretty awesome poem. It's awesome because it strikes at the heart of fear and shows the hope of faith. You tell us unequivocally that there will be some challenges and there will be people who rain on our parade, but I love how you Urged us to keep on marching. You also reminded us who the grand Marshall is. Jesus Christ. I love it sis!
