What We Need

We need a little courage to help get us through our day

Some optimism so the sun will try to shine our way


Those days we feel like hiding and we put on a disguise 

To hide from those who sometimes are not thoughtful kind or wise


Take time to listen quietly to someone in despair

For there's a strength in knowing there are those who really care 


A peace will fill your heart when there's a friend to hold your hand

 It helps to know there's hope in finding one who understands


We need the rest and healing only Jesus Christ can give

And with the wonder of His love, forever we can live 


Praise God for all our blessings and these lessons we will  keep

Each night He'll give us comfort as He helps us fall asleep
