I did not think it was possible to "up your game," but I love this little thing. This offering is you on a plate as they say in my cooking shows. It is such a clever little thing. The rhymes are fun (zing and thing?), punny even, and help set the light tone. You pour out your fun-loving, spotty soul in this one, just as you do in your dramatic poetry.
Well done, you over-achiever. Grrrr-ARRRRR!

I loved this, Rachelle! Look at you. You really do have leopard sheets and a leopard dress! What fun.

For me, it used to be golf-related items. I would get golf ties and golf Christmas tree ornaments for gifts, not to mention golf balls, gloves, tees, etc. I would always buy golf-themed Christmas cards to send and buy golfing Santa pictures and statues for decorating the house at Christmas time.

Fun to have a theme that you enjoy and that everyone can enjoy with you.

Rachelle,

This is a great poem about your obsession with leopard spots. I wonder if your husband is wild about them. He must like them if you have the house decorated with them. You are funny my friend.

Well done

Cecilia

Well, he likes ME, so I guess that's equivalent to him like leopard, too. He's actually the world's best sport; no close seconds.

Thanks for the review, Cecilia. xoxo

Your poem is a fun and witty celebration of the writer's love for leopard print. The humor continues as the writer describes shopping for leapord patterned items, unable to resist the temptation whenever they spot something with the beloved spots.
The closing "Grrrr-ARRRRR! captures the playful, fierce spirit of your poem, leaving a lasting impression of untamed joy and self expression. Well done.

Ha!
I loved everything about this, Rachelle. Brilliant rhyme and meter, Young Lady. Leopard print appeals to most, I think. I would imagine you have a pair of leopard high heels as well. If I remember from the book you and Gretchen wrote, even the goats liked them.

This was great fun!

God bless,
Steve

that is a real "make you smile post", and good for Gretchen with the leopard earrings.
I had a pair of leopard shoes for years until I wore them out. Did wonders for black outfits. (even though they were not spike heels) :)
Love "recalcitrantly styled" ! neat poem.

This poem is so full of energy! I love the clever wordplay with "SPOT me"!
The final lines - especially the "grrr-ARRRRR!" - bring your poem to a wonderful ending. It left me smiling. I had a blast reading this!

Oh, this is great. A great entry for the contest, and it looks like a winner to me. I knew about your passion for leopard clothes, but didn't know it extended to your home decor. I hope your husband likes the leopard look.
Your poem also reveals a lot of your personality. Leopard love is something you can enjoy without feeling guilty. (Not like my favorite, chocolate.) You must have your sources for finding leopard clothes, but I don't see many of them. I'm mostly a pastel person. This is really enjoyable.

Bobby is a really good sport. Our entire bedroom is leopard (Well, not the walls, but everything else...)Ditto for the master bathroom, and now even our dining room is infused with it. It's an affliction, I tell you. Did you ever read my story "Leopard?" It won a contest for WOW Women on Writing, but it's posted in here, too.

I've MADE a lot of my leopard clothing, but there's always plenty available online. It never seems to go out of style!!

Thanks for the wonderful review and the well-wishes for the contest! xoxo

I read your account of what happened when you were wearing a leopard dress, and leopard underwear, too. judi

No, this was a different one...a different kind of flash: fiction. Leopard is a theme in a LOT of my stories, I'm realizing now...

In the story I remember, the leopard clothing was just part of it. I'd love to hear more about how your leopard decor looks. judi
