Interesting factoid, but how does that word or term relate to the search engine with the similar sounding name? I highly doubt that it is just a coincidence. The two must have some meaning that ties them together. Do you know?

Yes, that's the word long before there was a Googol. It was the name the 9-year-old nephew of a mathematician came up with when he asked him what he would call a number with 1 followed by a hundred zeroes.
