Excellent sedoka for the japanese poetry club. Great composition and presentation. I would write ( I chose sedoka) in your author notes.

Extraordinary theme, I hate wars too.

Well done,

Gypsy

This sedoka, The Wrong War, has the proper formatting and finds the troubled heart of the returning warrior finding his own home lacking the attention he abandoned to fight elsewhere.

Such a heartbreaking narrative that unfortunately rings true again and again throughout the history. When the country you fought for has changed into a different country you do not know. So very well done!

I believe all wars are wrong. I don't understand the title, The Wrong War, is it our revolutionary war taking place in the good old United States? Or are you actually going back to your home country that is at war with itself?
I abhor violence of any kind, and war is hell as far as I am concerned. The artwork you chose captures the essence of war and how it takes our lives away one body at a time.
Thanks for addressing an important issue in today's political climate.
Jesse

Thank you, Jesse, yes, I was trying to say that this fellow went of to fight in a war away from his home, when he returned he realizes that there was a war there, as always very much appreciated****kahpot

Thank you for the information about the poetry. I wish everyone was so considerate. The poetry was nicely done and heart felt. The font is nice and big. Thank you for that as well. Karen

I appreciate your thoughts on war and agree that they hurt more than they help. Your sedoka is powerful and timely. Similar to mine. Well said, as always.

-Very nice artwork and presentation, kahpot.
-You wrote a very good poem with effective imagery.
-A very good opening verse that shows your
emotions upon returning to your country,
especially, "anxious heart racing time."
-A very good second verse also shows
how returning has impacted you, and
the goal you hope to achieve in your homeland.
-Very well done.

Any sane person would agree that all wars are wrong. I cannot think of any where lands conquered were not eventually lost, whether they were the Greek, Romans, Egyptians or Babylonians. And what did Cain gain in slaying Abel?

Your poem is well written and poignant. Your author's note is well state - there is no such thing as a good war. Often the victory hollow, leaving only a trail of heartache and destruction. Thank you for the author's note explaining the poetic format. Best of luck in the challenge! Evi

Often we go to war to fight and have no idea the reason behind it all and your words resonate with me as so many don't make it home, I shed a tear here at the sentiments within, love Dolly x
