Since I was a kid I kept my thought to myself.
I'm not a talker but I'm a patient listener.
I never wanted to be a leader because I don't want the responsibility.
I prefer to be a follower but before I do follow
A. I listen attentively
B. I reason with my head.
C. and then I choose.

I totally agree. If one has not learned to follow, one cannot learn to lead - and the role of a good and wise leader is to encourage people to follow whole-heartedly, working together as a team.

They say still waters run deep, but water that stays in one place and goes nowhere will become polluted. Same with humans. If I stayed in one place and did nothing except maybe play bingo, I would be a waste of life.

The whole crowd will lie and deflect until the next election, when somehow the results will be another historic win for the Republican Party. The latest polls say Trump's actions are approved by 47% of the nation. Either the polls are rigged (hope) or the country is changed to no good end.

It is so true that when we are able to follow, we will have the ability to become leader leaders, but you can't be a leader until you know how to follow. I very much appreciate your poem and it says a lot.
