"Sometimes, the things that make us stand out and seem different - are the very things that make us shine." Yes, my dear, I think this says it well. Thanks for sharing.

Everyone of us is special in some way, we just have to use our imaginations and discover what makes us unique.... I think my characters carry some of me with them and that's how I shine.... through them. Thanks as always.

Wonderful message. Self-acceptance and being willing to find one's niche role when one is different - perfectly summarised in the last sentence. An excellent message for everyone, and a wonderful addition to your book.

This means a lot to me since I was born handicapped. I tried to pretend it didn't matter and after a few months, kids at school accepted me. Can't say I was spectacular, but I was the fastest kid on my feet in my ugly corrective boots. Juno was fortunate to have a friend who helped her see how special she was. Very nice story for every kid.

Oh yes, when I became aware that our differences make us unique and special, social animals like we humans, and elephants, and wolves have a social code, but God made us for a reason, in that He made each and everyone special, beautifully written, blessings Roy

A very good story. We all need to see that we are enough. We are special in our own way. We do not need to measure up to someone else. We are perfect just the way we are.
Good writing. Karen

This would be an ideal story for a young persons book. It would help them to understand that they need to accept themselves just like they are because that's the way God made them and he wants us to all be what we were created to be. Even if we have a few Bright spots on us we are still very special and thank you so much for this delightful story. Patricia.

Does this mean that when my mama called me special, it didn't mean I should be put in a home for weird children? LOL Great story. A polkda dot elephant is so cute.

What a great installment of your children's book. You used great sentences to express the imagery. It is great the Juno was proud of who she was at the end. What a nice message.

Another good story in the Alphabet Soup book. I like that Juno is ultimately appreciated for her differences, and she learns to like them as well. Kids will like this, especially those who are a bit 'special.' Blessings. Carol

I enjoyed reading about Juno. This story reminded me about a children's story, and there's an entire series about 'Elmer". Elmer is a children's story by David McKee about a colorful, patchwork elephant who is different from the other grey elephants in the herd. All he wants to do be like the other elephants. My first graders loved this series.
