Hi MariVal,
first of all, congratulation on being nominated for Poem of the Month with this exquisite metaphorical composition.
You hold in your heart a perfect knack for setting up your love tales within the first verse with a sense of echoed emotions, and only long enough to allow your reader to feel and imagine within its beauty.
But... and there most always is a but. Your next verse spins one's thoughts around within its longing and disappointment to some degree in the unattainable.
I'm going to say it!
How I love the line...
I exist on the long night of my soul!
There is so much depth within these words that my soul absorbs with ease and understanding.
The metaphorical ending is also exquisite and adds so much length to the ending... it's like I'm hanging there waiting for the Sun to shine again, so it may start something anew.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!
All the very best in this Poem of the Month Contest... for me it's a winner!

a kaleidoscope of colours words.

Hi it is true that they say out of sight out of mind.
Love needs closeness whether it is spiritual or of this world. If he or she is not there near enough , the love withers and sadly disappears and causes a lot of pain and disappointment. Wherever he or she is , I hope they come across this beautiful and tender write.

I loved the words used in this poem. They told a story. "moon's love for the sun dies in the dark." This is a great ending line.
I liked the unrequited love it rang true. Thank you for sharing your poem, I enjoyed it.

The adage that "opposites attract," is a well known saying. I personally don't know if it goes beyond the initial attraction, but your poem is well written and the criteria met quite well. Thank for sharing.
