I read that and realized it might have come off as judging. I apologize. Anything remotely about politics sets me off. Usually I take my own advice and just ignore criticism of T because I voted for his platform. Sometimes when something is corrupt to it's core, you throw it out and start all over. It is bound to be painful, and cause distress. I don't know what is really going on so should keep my mouth shut and keep praying.

I don't know your views on the Bible, but I believe it is the word of God. King Saul was (unlike Trump) an ungodly ruler nd David had his chance to catch him unaware and unarmed, but would not harm him because at that moment, Saul was the anointed of the Lord. We need to pray for our leaders, not tear them apart.

This story rings true, and yet the crooked politicians can't see past their nose. Why is that do you suppose? I agree with term limits, just like they have on the president. Change is never easy, but something needs to happen.

Evi: I missed where it said humorous. I went with the prompt "go back," and thought when the framers got together in the 18th century when the colonies had differences but still worked together to frame the greatest work ever. That would be nice.

I guess I missed the "humor" prompt. I caught the fall back instead, and wished that we would catch the fervor the originator felt when the country began. My intent was to have us join hands and sing kumbaya

I applaud you Tom, for this post. You spoke so many truths here and the American public seem to be looking for someone to hate as they are mostly unhappy with themselves. At last I am hearing from someone with their head screwed on instead of the rants from those who cannot see the wood for the trees. I enjoyed every word here as you speak so much sense and it is a pity that the American public are so divided, and the Democrats are portraying themselves as hateful and full of jealousy.
We are experiencing some terrible times under Kier Starmer in Britain and everyone is unhappy. Our Prime Minister who is the leader of the labour party is a far left wing Politician and he is dragging our country down into the depths of despair. He will never be re-elected and we are suffering in Britain like you did in the US under Biden control.
