Intended Self-righteousness

Give Carrothead a Break

by Tom Horonzy

I am concerned that common sense has lost its way in the world today. A duly elected President is tattered and scorned from bow to stern based on derogatory statements of the perfidious media and an oppositional party, which supports the destruction of personal property of Tesla, a green purveyor, whose owner was a hero to them three short years ago while pandering to radical theorests supporting Hamas in opposition to Israel without a peep.

A country whose citizenship gives little thought to sort fact from the fiction announced nightly from the corrupt Fourth Estate, without asking why 'The Donald' donates his salary to dozens of charities when he could be enjoying the remaining years of his life on a beach somewhere other than the garbage strewn sewers of Washington?

I plead for all to open shut eyes and begin to get wiser that the losing party has no one to blame save themselves for an endless attack on a man whose first four years were more successful than the last four years that Kamala's billion-dollar campaign ran on.

My fellow Americans, don't you see we are headed for financial disaster as the national debt increases by $1,000,000,000 every twelve hours because a quorum of hate-filled iconoclasts have not and cannot tell us how to avoid our impending collapse? They lost the election because, like the boy who cried wolf continuously, the majority said "enough!"

What ever happened to the Golden Rule? "Do unto others as you would have done unto yourself."

How do individuals, independently elected, not form their own opinions for legislative action but instead vote as a bloc to interfere with ideas proffered?  It doesn't matter which party, red or blue. Are there no independent scholars or scholars at all? How is an elected official paid $174,000 a year made into a multi-millionaire in less than ten years? Term limits would be an essential improvement.

Doing the same stupid things repeatedly and expecting change is the definition of insanity extended to the nth degree.

Instead of bringing deductive reasoning to the table, they take to the street as petulant children, berating those with propositions to change to a system that clearly could be working better.

Fall Back! writing prompt entry
Writing Prompt
There's a weekly section of a show I watch. Famous guests are asked what they think should Fall Back. It's not meant to be against a person or political at all. It is more to do with popular culture or phrases. For instance, I think the phrase, "Have a good one!" should fall back because it's annoying and I think bottle caps should fall back because I drop them.

So it's about irritations, it's enough already, fall back!

I hope we can not use this to argue politics or divisive topics. This is a humor contest. Write a story stand up routine, a rant, or a poem. It's not a blind contest. Those can fall back!

So... Be kind and humorous!

I wrote this as a plea to have both sides retreat to the commonality that our forefathers agreed to when the thirteen colonies signed the Constitution. They had differences but for the sake of the country found ways to agree.
