Brian really is between a rock and a hard place. His family is his world, even Marie. But his success with a non-addicting drug is equally important for what he has been through developing it. Very good chapter. Sorry I was so late getting to this. Husband, dog and I went away for a rest break and ending up driving through horrific tornado damage.

Oh, no! I hope it was just the aftermath and not the storm itself.

Yes, it's a tough decision for the family to make just how far to go before giving up. Such a shame, because all he wants to do is provide a drug that promises to help people who are ailing the way he was, yet his family is the most important thing to him.

No, the tornados were just 24 hours earlier. A forest we loved was destroyed and the other was the town of Cave City in Arkansas.

This is another excellent chapter. I see that Marie is back. What an uncomfortable situation to live in fear. You are doing a good job describing the situation. I do not see any need for improvement. Have a blessed day.

Thanks so much, Lee. Everyone seems to like Marie as a character. She is back for good now.

I hope Dana isn't getting too sure of her own abilities with this scheme. You are building this complex story well, Jim É"ut I don't think they'll have itxas easy as they think. Well written,,
Cheers

Thanks, Valda. Dana has become quite adept at subterfuge. Let's see how she pulls this one off and what it might lead to.

Ah those sneaky, devious genes of Dana's can be useful, when she turns them over for good. I'm an observer of human behaviour, and whatever we can use for for good or evil, but that is the wonder of gifted people, God doesn't makes mistakes, and He knows who will and and who won't, the difference between wisdom and foolishness, good and evil, beautifully written, blessings Roy

Thanks, Roy. Yes, Dana has gotten pretty good at this game and is definitely getting the ball rolling towards the climax coming soon. All the players are moving into place now for the coming action.

This is another brilliant chapter, Jim. The tension is mounting. Now with the camera dismantled, maybe they can catch them trying to install another one.

Julia is brave and wants to move forward. I agree, this is what they should do.

Great work, my friend.
God bless,
Steve

Thanks so much, Steve, and for those 6 stars too. I'm glad you can feel the tension, as it's about to increase logarithmically. Let's hope Julia doesn't regret her decision!

Oh, no! I hope not. It takes a lot to hold my attention. Thank you, Jim, for sharing this entertainment.

Yes, they need to keep going. Don't stop now. I do hope nothing serious happens. You're doing a great job writing this. I am enjoying reading. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Now, what fun would it be if nothing serious happens now?

Thanks for your kind words, Barbara.

As Peter Pan would say, "Never give up, never give up, never give up!" Of course, there is those other thoughts that come to mind when the tables turn and things get scary, like "tuck tail and run like hell." Thanks for sharing another fine chapter.

They may wish they had done that. The jury will be out for a while about if they made the right decision. The real fun begins with the next chapter.

Jim,

It's great that the security guys found the hidden camera. Hopefully, Jules won't have another nerve wracking experience. Don't understand why people are so evil.

Well, it wouldn't be a very exciting story if we just left it at that, so better buckle up as we head into the climax. Glad you're enjoying it, Cecilia.

LOL, "I've done a lot of improv... " That Dana has some spy-skills and an abundance of confidence.

A good chapter, just updating us on the next course of action and the safety of the Kendricks.

The six stars is for your continued fine writing on this novel, Jim.

And a bit of blarney too for Dana.

The next chapter is the start of the long-lasting climax to the story. We still have 7 chapters to go.

Thanks very much for your continuing support of the story, Pam, and for those 6 stars too. Much appreciated.

I would say "you're welcome," but I know these continuing, unnecessary conversations seem useless to you (just like they do to me!). So I won't say anything:-)

I think you will have to say "four intrepid women" soon the more that Marie gets involved (or is she one of the three. I was counting Abby with Fran and Dana).
I'm a little worried for Dana because it sounds risky for her to get so involved. What if she's followed and found to be friends with Brian's sister? Hope they can keep it all under wraps. I wish some research university would take over the trials and keep Brian and his family out of it.

It was always my intention for Marie to be the third. Abby and Patty are just minor characters in the story.

The vise is tightening on all of them now. Let's see if they can all keep it together and fight this growing threat.
