Congrats on your first post! It is breathtaking! The rising from the ashes is so powerful. And I love how you showed the change from despair to strength. The flow of your poem makes it even more beautiful. I thought those final lines were especially moving. Great job!

Congratulations on your first milestone and welcome on board! You've certainly marked the occasion with a fine verse, well crafted and rhymed which I enjoyed reading. I actually read it twice to soak up all the imagery of this tribute to a dear friend who rises phoenix-style from the ashes to be "reborn and forged in flame." I'm wondering if you're Portuguese given your final 'I love you.' I like it because it adds that personal and intimate detail to enhance the classic story.
