That was a nerve-wracking chapter. A lot of near misses by the killer, then he's caught in the end as Ben Paul literally catches him. A lot of bravery on his and Sylvia's part to expose themselves the way they did to lure the killer out.
I'm looking forward to the conclusion of this exciting story.

Thank you for your great review.

Hooray for Ben Paul - listening to the Spirit to get up and move and know exactly how to stop the killer. I was prepared for "violence" per the warning but this was just the nicest way to stop the real violence. I think everyone in the area must be awake now...!

Thank you. Yes, I wondered if readers would expect the worst, a twisted ending where Ben Paul or Sylvia got hurt. But then, I imagined someone getting a bit queasy at Ben Paul trying to chop the man's hand off with the door.
Now to try to get these geezers home.

God is always on his toes where Ben is concerned. The killer missed opportunity after opportunity thanks to the good Lord. Breaking into the church seemed like such a simple way to get to him, but God gave him a wakeup call. One killer with a badly broken wrist and the police have him in custody. Good ending to a trip to Alaska.

Thank you very much. Now if they can only get home!

Ingenius solution to capturing the suspect in the very act. the killer too had been very cunning!
Some people never understand that God watches over His own. Well done.
Wendy
We also agreed that he should be stopped. (Previously you used "They agreed ...")

Thank you for the catch. My 'go to' is to write in first person. When I write in third, there is always a lot of fixing to do.
Thank you for your very nice review.

Sad that we're coming to an end. But you managed to keep up the suspense, characterization, and those small but positive interjections of Christianity. Whatever comes after the final chapter, I'll look forward to it.

Wow, God send him to pray to save him and also gave him the strengths to catch that killer, very smart move. Thank you for sharing and good luck with your writings, and the next chapter.

I really enjoyed how tense your chapter was! The way you built up the suspense with Ben Paul's preparations and the killer's creeping plans kept me on the edge of my seat. The moment Ben Paul heard the lock being jimmied and then acted so swiftly was thrilling. I also liked how you showed the growing sense of danger. Great tension all around! Can't wait to see how this all wraps up in the final chapter! Keep up the awesome work!

"It was Helmsley's first time had been inside the unique..." -- It was Helmsley's first time inside the unique...
Space for paragraph after "he kneeled at the altar."
I was wondering why Ben Paul felt he could only be heard by God if he went to the church to pray, but now I see the point of "his calling."
Another dilemma dealt with:-)

Wayne,
What a great story. God is always on Ben Paul's side no matter what is going on. This story is coming along nicely and I just wonder how much more adventure they will see before it's all over.
Well done

You're welcome. You finally going to retire Ben Paul?

Started with his father who was born in 1861. I think that's just about enough of Ben Persons, don't you?

I think I would agree.
