Great ending:"
The next morning Ben Paul awakened with St. Paul's words on his mind. It didn't take him long to find the scripture in the first book of Timothy, chapter one, verse seven: For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. Ben Paul dispelled any notion of fear for himself or Sylvia. But overwhelming him was his love for the murderer's next victim... and the soundness of stopping the man.
Thank you for sharing and good luck with your writings.

This is another excellent chapter. I like the way you weave scripture into your story. I am not as well versed in scripture as you are. I do not see any room for improvement. Have a blessed day.

You kept the tension going well in this chapter, leaving us wondering if the killer would spring out from somewhere and confront the Persons's.
I liked how you brought in the main point of the sermon to the events of the chapter: "Don't sit there and dry up, deal with the obstacles," as that is surely what Ben Paul and Sylvia will do now. I have no doubt they will find this serial killer and stop him.
Well done chapter, Wayne.

That was an intriguing twist, I definitely want to know why this man wants Ben Paul dead and who he is. I think what might be missing a little from the narrative here is an emotional connection. Someone walks up to Ben Paul and says he'll kill him, but the scene does feel a little bit flat. We don't know how Ben Paul is feeling at this stage and I think you need to show this a little more on the page to help us connect to him more. His heart isn't pounding, for example. You would expect there to be a physical and emotional reaction after this man said this. Overall though, I'm intrigued to read on.

Thank you.
My natural disinclination toward the touchy-feely, make the man cry lacks. But your point is taken. Ben Paul could at least have a defensive reaction.
(Ben Paul is a witness, of sorts)
Thanks for reviewing.

I really enjoyed this! The suspense you've built with Ben Paul and Sylvia in this chapter kept me on edge. The way you set up the threat with the man in the church was intense. Your writing flows smoothly. I felt like I was right there wondering who the killer might be. I'm looking forward to seeing how Ben Paul handles the situation in the next chapter! Keep it up!

Thank you very much - double much considering the last review I read! (smiley face here)

I liked Sylvia's response "No, you are not. But I'm not one to bury you, either."
I'm impressed with Ben Paul's faith that he's not worried for his life or his wife's!
I had to smile at Ben Paul's generally skimming news articles. But that writer who seems to know everything about the suspect seems a bit suspicious to me!
Guess he will be caught soon!

Thank you for your great review.
I was wishing for the internet for that writer to be credible.

I have really enjoyed reading Ben Paul's story. He seems to be inordinately blessed by God. Church goes well, except for the man in the cotton pants telling Ben Paul that he was going to kill him. They have police guarding them in Juneau when Ben Paul decides they have to catch the murderer before he kills again.

That criminal has the audacity to follow Ben Paul to church and threaten him - but of course does not know that God is all-powerful and will look after Ben Paul as His own dear child. A fine chapter.

Ben Paul is becoming quite the sleuth, but with the Spirit guiding him. This seems to be heating toward a boiling point; it's pretty ballsy to threaten a pastor in a church!
Good chapter, Wayne. I missed one when I had company here for a week, but I'm back on track now.

Wayne,
This is another fantastic addition to your book. Those two are always into something. Their only saving grace is they have God on their side.
Well done my friend
