I agree with you on the spare and compressed and was going to give it just a 4 or even a 3 star as it felt very naive and childish in its execution.
That said.
I then read your self imposed challenge and I re-read the tale. It definitely needs work but you are operating under a major constraint.
I may have a go at this challenge myself.

Your story is loaded with tension and dark humor! For a 150 word limit, you've managed to create an engaging plot twist! An interesting character in Godwin's bravery (and perhaps misjudgment!). The twist at the end is delightfully sinister. If you're looking to add depth without breaking the word limit, you might consider trimming a few descriptive words ("living" in "living green tunnel," for example) to free up space for one or two extra lines of detail, perhaps about Godwin's thoughts before the kiss or a hint of the witch's plan. But overall this is great! Nicely done!
