Isn't that funny, that some things in one's childhood will actually cause a phobia in one, with some it may vanish, but others it will remain seemingly forever, these precious little ones is a mission to raise them wisely and well, beautifully written Liz, beautifully written, blessings Roy
Typo : His gig was to(o) ask the little ones.

It is good that you are getting thing worked out where you are exhausted from having to travel to be with your brother of to have to answer the phone so many times a day. I hope it works out so that he is happy with his new care giver.

Everything is working out nicely he has all kinds of people coming in from different agencies. It makes it nice so I only have to go up there if he has a doctor's appointment.

That is a really strange game your father played with him over his food. He wasn't much into being gentle with little kids. Could you and your brother live together and get help for both of you? That might make it easier.

Thank you for your compassionate review. He was narcissistic and sadistic. We're hoping to get my brother into a residential for tbi head injured people there's a special place not too far away. The the fellow that helped start it started it with his mother he was a high school student who got a serious head injury playing basketball now he has passed and his mother has passed. So his brother is taking over

I'm glad your brother seems to have gotten the help he needs. I know those Vermont roads. Also, I identify with the shower situation. We have a portable shower head. At first it was too cold. The maintenance men fixed it. Now it can go on too hot or cold, so I turned the hed so when I get it, it'd always facing away from me. Then, I test it gently and turn it to the right temperature. My problem is getting in and out as I have trouble standing. Also, we have food here but I use doordash or uber now and then. I've had around five occasions my food never arrived. Then you have to go through a process to claim a refund and naturally, you can't talk to a live peron.

Very interesting insight. Thank you for sharing this with us. I enjoyed reading. It's very well written.
Mike Is not someone who's just going to sit around waiting for everybody (is)
but it would be good for him because the Individual from this group will be me, and I will not have to go up to Rutland 2 hours away on a Vermont Road. (individual)
hey are exploring Mike's needs and one of The most wonderful helpers to come there, will be a nurse (the)

I prayed that "Bob" will help Mike with his shower and that it would go perfectly. So glad you are getting less calls and that Mike knows how to make sure he has enough food.
stuff she'd spewed around Mike's bed. (did you mean 'strewed' ?)
The paragraph that starts with "My brother came up with a solution for this situation" is followed by another paragraph which is quite similar.
I was confused as to why you wrote in the third person about you and your brother watching your father eat his supper.

Thank you for your compassionate review. It's all in the mode of drama. If you saw what she had done you would call it spewed also. It's a great metaphor.
I wrote about them in third person because I wanted to stress how alone the two of them were

Cuz mode of drama. And I'm just thinking if you saw what she did how she used my brother's bedroom to spill stuff dumb stuff, you would think that the word spew it was a great metaphor.

I'm so sorry that you have to help taking care of your brother? Is Mike your brother who is in need of care? I think it's quite common nowadays. The baby-boomers are getting older. You take care of yourself, please. My husband and I are doing loads of outdoor exercise like rowing, hiking, biking and skiing. We are healthy for our age. He is in his 70's and I'm in my 60's.
Take care.

Thank you for your understanding review. My brother was fine until his caretaker flipped out and stopped taking her schizophrenic meds so now he's been eligible for all kinds of help. We're hoping to get him into a residential head injured placement for patience.

My brother was hit by a car back when he was 40. At 76 he's really showing some of the effects of his brain now. We're hoping to get him in a residential for head injured patients.
