Oh, so sad. But we mustn't forget that this life we live is called the "Cycle of Life." And a cycle is a circle, which means, the wheel spins with a mixture of good and bad. So, when things are bad, they will always get better, all but once. And when things are seemingly the best they can be, get ready. Things are about to fall to pieces. But never fear: the cycle repeats.

So sad that one's obsessiveness to other matters could ruin and strip such a sensitive rose. But roses have thorns and I believe this rose can regain her strength and find renewal.

This is very well written and it was a pleasure to listen to. It flows very well when it is read aloud and I enjoyed listening to it. May you have a wonderful day I look very good we can make God bless you and keep you safe. Patricia.

Sarah, the way this poem petered off at the end leaves the reader thinking about your poem long afterwards. The line "He ran out of the love that was watering her life." Brilliant-I wish I had thought of it first. Well done on another beautiful poem.

I like the clever technique, the personification of the rose. I had an emotional response to this poem. There is a sadness around how Time changes everything - transience. Therein lies the truth.
