It's a good praise of the birth of Jesus. I guess the glory to God and Peace on earth were just for that time period. I've studied theology amid multiple cultures and religions and unfortunately, there are some major gaps and differences regarding how the theories identify what the world should experience. I like your take on it.

Thank you for reminding us of the true reason for the season, which was the birth of Jesus Christ. You managed to put a spin on religion into such an enchanting poem. Well done.

Just lovely! I love the conversion of a Saint Nick story to a Christ child one ('Twas the night). I could easily see this as a hymn. An enduring message for the ages.

I liked reading this. It is definitely timely! It would be like an A+ on a greeting card verse choice as well. I caught some 'b' alliteration in the last line with 'bounteous blessing' in addition to the nice anapestic meter and rhyme overall.

God lights a star for the lost sheep to still see the star that ever shines as a sign to the children of God to seek and find their way to the place that God revealed the hope of man, born in a stable, the light of the world come into the squalid world of men, as a sign of hope and redemption, beautifully written, blessings Roy

This is a lovely poetic narration of the nativity. You have described the scene well including the lines,
"Amidst the stars and moonlight glow.
That Angels sang in glorious chime,"
Good luck in the contest.

Fine sentiments for the contest and I enjoyed the true meaning of Christmas here. Fine rhymes with a slightly uneven flow, entertaining and magical, love Dolly x
