Another beautiful yet heart breaking poem. The emptiness of their loss takes on a whole being. Very compelling. Thank you for posting this emotionally charged poem. Greychen

What a fantastic senryu, Gypsy. The dual pictures were wonderful because they showed the loneliness of your words and the sorrow of your loss. Very well done and sadly but greatly enjoyed. Blessed Be n Hugs!!!

This line 'your side filled with yearning' expresses so many emotions. Yes, walking along on a path that one once walked on with a special person, being a parent, child, or lover is heart wrenching when one can't do it any longer. It's amazing how such a short poem can be filled with so much emotion. Thank you for sharing.

That is so sad, and for many, so true, Gypsy. You've found a picture that captures the mood of the one walking alone, and ended it with a perfect satori in the feeling of missing the one who once walked beside her. Excellent!! :)) Sandra xx

Hi Gypsy, it's Jan here. Isn't it "walking alone ON our favourite path?" I've never heard of in our favourite path before.

That last lines says so much: "your side filled with yearning." When two people have a favorite place or activity, then when they are apart, the missing is most evident in those situations.
