Yes....oh yes. Nothingness would be a gift, Gypsy. So many of us cling to what might have been...or worse, what we believed was true only to find out one of us was committed. These fractures in our hearts never truly completely heal. What a thoughtful free verse. (And brilliantly presented, as always!)

This is well done and would have done well in the betrayal contest for poetry. I love the artwork and your use of metaphor and simile to portray your lost relationship with someone you loved very much. This speaks for all of us who have lost someone close to us. It is hard and takes a long time to heal.

With betrayal, forgetfulness can't come soon enough. Your free verse captured the pain and agony of love snatched away suddenly. Leaving memories that will hopefully disappear like the mist at dawn. Beautiful piece!
