The memories remain, and she ponders perhaps past joys, or perhaps sorrows remain. We see her and stop to think of her life, and how it affects others.

I like your modern Haiku poem- good word count and flow - notes bring to light the connection between the flower and the emotional reaction to the loss of a loved one- good job- AP

This is a hauntingly beautiful image of grief. These few words and the image presented give the feeling of uncontrollable grief.
So well done.
Best regards,
Mary

Thank you for sharing this Haiku and the complete package with us. As I read I could visualize the tears dripping into a garden pond and reaching for the sky, where the loved one lived. A perfect poem.

Hi Gypsy, your poem is filled with vivid imagery and good sensory appeal.
Of special note:
ripples reach the sky
(Good alliteration)
Well-chosen photos. A pleasure to read. Keep the blue waters flowing.

This haiku effectively conveys a poignant image of loss and grief. The metaphor of the widow's tears falling on the garden pond and the ripples reaching the sky creates a sense of the emotional impact of the loss spreading outward, beyond the physical realm. The brevity of the poem highlights the power of each word, and the juxtaposition of the small garden pond and the vast sky adds to the depth of the image. Overall, this haiku is a beautiful and evocative expression of the universality of grief. Beautifully crafted and present, well done.

I like your use of the plant name "widow's tears" for the dropping onto the garden pond. The double entendre gives that extra layer of meaning. Good use of alliteration, too!

I didn't know there's a plant called widow's tears, that is a great coincidence. A lot of times I write intuitively and everything works out fine.
Thank you very much for the kind and helpful review, big sister.
Love,
Marival ❤️
