dance with the tousled white-mist hair
and in her umber eyes ... thunder

We see a moving image of a daughter showing respect as she mourns her father, and then we find this surprising word at the end, and we must ponder what it means.

Sadly, what a wonderful picture of all the tombstones, Gypsy. I really loved your words because they truly pointed out what the picture was all about. Very well done and greatly enjoyed. Blessed Be n Hugs!!!

You used words that are powerful descriptors in this poem. This is like a poem on steroids. I'm not sure it's possible but here you did it so I'm sure it's possible. LOL Thank you for sharing.

What a nice poem for Helen's father who recently passed away. He lived a long yet a good, and quiet life. He raised a great family at the same time. He should be proud of himself.

Well done.

I never realized that you never write rhyme poetry; or were you explaining just this type of poetry? The picture displays a strange mist of drizzle, while the earthy brown umber of wind and thunder brings darkness to the eyes.

I never write rhymed poetry. With Japanese poetry I don't have to.

They may not rhyme, but the have a most poetic wave of alliteration, they are most eye catching my friend, what a marvellous scene you set with the grim greyness of the gravesite, well done, blessings Roy
Typo : Drizzle(d) covered.

Wow! What a great picture with sounds and feeling of rain with descriptive words like drizzled, tousled, and "crisp ripples of wild winter wind." Loved the thunder in her eyes. Perfect for my day of visiting the burial plot...

Thank you! We got hope safe. We had to Uber it and it cost $50 one way and $35 the way back. 🤨 It think it depends on the time of day...

I take Lyft rides and it's a hit and miss. That sounds very expensive. How is your mom doing? Are there other family members with you?

No, it's just me. But I'm helping her use her laptop more so I hope I get her interested in many new hobbies before I leave in January. 💖

I love teaching computer skills to elderly people. I'm very pacient:) I volunteered at the Sacramento food Bank resource center for a while. I made some good friends.

That's a satisfying job! Mom's a fast learner. The only part that's tricky is that she is too quick to click and she hits the computer screen like she's squashing bugs.
