Many cases end in this manner. The families of the missing persons can only ponder how perhaps they could have kept the person in safety, how things could have turned out differently.

The author's words are sad, interesting, heartfelt, descriptive and
creative. I found it upsetting to know a poster of a missing child was
bleached by the sun. I learned from this author what a cold case is.
The artwork goes well with the theme and words of this poem.

Stunning and devastating
This is a cold water shower in words of faded posters of a missing child whose case now has gone cold
Well done
Best wishes
Mary

Hello Gypsy, well done, well said, good sensory appeal. Just like the faded poster, these cold cases fade into a wall of files. Of special note:

fades into oblivion
(Yes, indeed)

Well chosen photo. Thank you for your author's notes and information that everyone should know. Keep the blue waters flowing. LateBloomer

Gypsy,
This is such a haunting senryu poem. I know parents of missing children agonize over the child for years after they've been abducted--years after the police have given up and stopped searching.
Great humanities poem, Gypsy.
Blessings,
Cindy

Poignant and chilling words here as children who are abducted are sometimes not found and I was astounded by your notes. A clever play on words in this Senryu and you packed a punch with these words, love Dolly x

I read your poem first which was heart-wrenching. Then I read your author notes with the number of abducted missing children, and my heart dropped more. Thank you for sharing your poem and your author notes. I greatly appreciated it.

Gypsy,

A very good choice with your illustration to pair with your Senryu verse. Sadly, missing children (and adults) too often become cold cases.

How sad that so many children remain faceless, Gypsy. I really enjoyed the picture of the faceless boy. Your words were so very true. Children are innocent, they are guilty of no crime, such devastation. Blessed be n hugs!

Ciao!

That is a horrific amount of children gone missing.

That poster gives me chills, that sun bleached face is someone's child( sigh).

Though I don't have children, I m sure not knowing what happened would drive me nuts.

I know forensics today can help close cold cases... find guilty murdered

but when there is no body investigations get more difficult.

There are so many sick people out there that grab random victims ( making it hard to find a connection) or target others after spying their movements for weeks.
