A play on words may lead to inspiration, or perhaps someone will tell you to stop the jokes, and aim for something serious. I myself need a few jokes every now and then. They can help clear our thoughts.

Hola Guapa, I really liked this tercet for the Japanese club. One of these days I have to try one myself. Your poem flowed so effortlessly and what a wonderful conclusion. It's very powerful, and says it all. How clever you are with words. Besitos, Ulla:)))

Hello Gypsy, very good, very cute, very creative. I especially liked:
writer's block
(something that we all can relate to)
Also, excellent photo choice--brick pillar that looks like a block. It pulls the poem and photo together.
Thank you for your author's note. Well done. Keep the blue waters flowing. LateBloomer

I like your poem- very clever- good presentation- I would like to understand the picturing in your mind - wings of a muse- no big deal just curious- the muse flew away? poet's inspiration- settles on a garden pillar- in the form of writers block- clever- good job

creativity to write poems... and stories... is fragile and illusive... like a butterfly spreading her winds and flying away. One day is here, the next one is gone. You never know for sure. Most writers feel writer's block.
Thank you very much, my friend. I appreciate your kind review and feedback.

-Nice image and presentation, Gypsy.
-You did a good job with the poem.
-Effective imagery that combines the muse
with the poet and the garden pillar.
-A good effect is created as the poet
finds his/her inspiration.
-A very good satori line with the double meaning.
-Very well done.

You are very welcome, Gypsy. I liked your poem. You have a good day, too!

I like it! You have that double entendre of the "writer's block" which typically means something that keeps a writer from writing but here it's a source of inspiration to write!

Comment from Gloria ....
Very well done indeed. I like the idea of a muse flying in and settling on a writer's block... Certainly lots of inspiration to be found there.
Vivid imagery to create such vision.
Much enjoyed. :))

So that's writer's block! I've been claiming to have it for years now! You have photographic evidence I never really had custody. Smiling here. What in heaven's name am I going to blame now? If it's not the reluctant muse and it's not writer's block... Oh my gosh. I'm just uninspiring!
Sigh. (The truth hurts!)
