Wendy,It seems this is a loving dad who lets his daughter's imagination free during play time. It seems like she thinks Mom is the task master at this time. This may change as she gets older.
Congrats on the honorable mention in the contest.
Keep writing and stay healthy

Thank you very much. Lovely review. Her mother is great fun too, but perhaps not quite as exuberant as her father. I wrote it based on my son, who often plays like this with his three little girls (6, 4 and 1).

You are most kindly welcome welcome.
I can understand that. Mothers aren't usually strong of brave enough to though their child up in the air and catch them like fathers can.

Congratulations on the recognition, Wendy, for your children's poem. This is a lovely piece - reminds me so much of the relationship my daughter had with her daddy. They're still very close.

Have a great day.

This is a beautifully written poem for kids. It has. Great flow and rhyme. My Daddy's always my Number One!
Mummy now says it's nearly time for bed ...

Your poem is excellent in every respect--skillfully and creatively written, vividly descriptive of a great father-daughter relationship, and delightful--such fun!

I like it, and I'm not even a child (though my wife accuses me of being one with every Ohmie story).
I'm an actin sort of person, maybe that's why this one appeals to me so.
Great job. Good luck in the contest.

Yes I did all these things with my girls, they are still incredibly special but they're grown up now, then is starts all over again with the next generation, this is a fantastic pistol, telling all the things that ate all part of a sound relationship, great rhyme, flow and language Wendy, blessings and good luck, Roy

Thank you for sharing this children's poetry contest entry with us. I was such a daddy's girl growing up. I completely enjoy watching my granddaughters wrap their daddies around their fingers. Good luck with the contest.

Well done on this children's poem. Great rhyming and well-chosen words to describe a little girl's fun with her dad. We only had one daughter, and she certainly was Daddy's girl..

What a fun daddy-daughter relationship at play! You describe the fun the young dads have with their little ones. I feel sorry for the mommy who seems to be the taskmaster reminding them it's time for bed. She was probably doing all the hard work in the background.
Best wishes in the contest.

Yes, that is the case sometimes - and Dad gets them all hyped up just before bed-time! Thanks so much for reviewing. Always appreciated.
