I love that you use "seed" here as human seed that is being scattered as if it were seed from a plant. Works nicely.

Enjoyed the read - Happy St. Patty's! Don't they say we are all Irish one day a year?

Thank you for your sharing.
It was a simple yet wonderful poem. I do hope that you would be able to go to the land of the green soon. Hopefully by this year!

I am sure you still have root in Ireland, for I hear it in the happy tones of your lines. I smiled when I saw the image you chose to share with the poem ... I love even the hint of the wee folk, and enjoyed this combination you've shared for us. Many thanks!

This is a very well written poem about the proud Irish. I have some Irish blood in me too. You used very good descriptive words and very cute imagery. Thanks for sharing! Blessings, Teri

I am a 49% Celt of Welsh origin, (that's where my surname's origin) but live in Australia, but not only have I visited my birthplace of Liverpool, but also Wales, Scotland and Ireland, they are all beautiful, Australia has played host to many Irish migrants too.. you should visit Ireland, with all its wonderful history, only a small percentage of Irish people really live there, most are elsewhere, beautifully written Willie, blessings Roy

Marvelous and so charming. I wrote a whole series of stories about Frankie the Leprechaun after I discovered my great grandmother came to the US from Ireland. Your poem put a much needed smile on my face. Bravo!

Smiles, Carol

Thank you for sharing this contest entry with us. Yes, I have some Irish in me also, back about two or three generations. I've heard Ireland is beautiful. I enjoyed reading and wish you the best of luck.

It is amazing how many professed Irish we have on St. Patrick's day. It must be the Guinness. What a wonderfully written poem.

Good luck in the contest!
Have a great day, and God bless.

Your concise poem is well-written, moving, and descriptive of familial and national pride--both of which may be strong even if, as in your case, one has never been in that nation. There's a gigantic space between your poem and the review space.
