What a gorgeous photo - and you're all in step! lol I think it's good that we don't know about many of the 'lasts'. It would be way too painful sometimes to know.

What a great poem and picture, - happy, happy faces! ( except I can't see your son's.) Beautiful family, too.
Your poem was a perfect ending for the contest. Just lovely!
I have really enjoyed corresponding with you. Thanks for all your kindnesses!
I have to wait until tomorrow to post my last one.
Hope you're over the after effects of the vaccine.

Hi Katharine :) Thank you for your lovely feedback, I'm glad you enjoyed the poem! I don't have many photographs of us all together, this was the most recent - shame Ben had his face covered!
I'm feeling much better today, thank you! x

Extraordinary description and poignant poem giving us stages of growth and memories of our dear "little ones" who have now obtained early adulthood, but with Mom, her babies, they will always remain! Unconditional love of a Mom is a PRICELESS joy that I can appreciate everyday since I lost my dearest love, my Mother! My forever advocate and friend unconditionally was "My Mother"! I was fortunate in my life to know this love and I was her only child!
Another great writing!!

What a charming poem. Of course it's hard to watch one's children not only grow but outgrow certain things that had been regular parts of life, but the important thing is that you recognize that this growth is necessary and to be expected, and it sounds as though you give your children the room they need to grow.
Your rhymes are well chosen and very much fit your poem's simple and nostalgic style.

Debra,
The image is beautiful - and familiar. Did you post other pix from this same walk at a different time, maybe?
The poem is beautiful - in that mommy-heartbreaking way. The part about time not asking permission killlllllled me. This was just awesome. Congrats on completing the challenge!

This is a beautiful way to wrap up your journey throughout April, Debra. You picture is awesome and perfect for your great poem. Your words flow smoothly with good rhymes and great imagery with an emotional tug at the heart. You expressed your thoughts and feelings well about your children growing up year after year.
Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan
