I don't know what it is about this poem, but it really got to me. It started out exquisitely beautiful, and ... the ending? Such a deep, deep love that could not let go. So many mixed emotions in my head. Bottom line: Beautifully and perfectly illustrated, which set into motion the words of your poem. I loved the rhyme and was so moved by your poem. 'Deeply moved'. Maybe that is the emotion that best describes what I am feeling. An exceptional work!

Like the picture.
Very romantic. But now they can be together, in the grave.
The afterlife beckons him and calls.
Some interesting twist on the words that I can juggle in my transparent mind.
Often, poems like this get overlooked. This one full of romance and feelings.

There is a poignant juxtaposition in this theme. You use4 very strong metaphors which create vivid imagery. This actually carries a cautionary tale. It is hoped that the reader will pause to reflect on their losses and ways of coping. This actually is all too common as a permanent solution to a temporary moment in a lifetime. Well written.

this is a beautiful poem that evokes the "classical poets" for me.
the rhyming scheme works very well with these sentiments.

Aww what a beautiful love story . This is so full of love but so very sad how he ends his life in hope to be reunited with his wife . Love is a strong emotion that has two sides , it is beautiful when things are going well but painful when they are not . We have all experienced the two sides of love , some more than others like ' till death beyond '

The couplets rhyme and the half lines monorhyme, and Days poems are not a bad form. Not a really happy happy joy joy theme, but one can't grade on content...excellent

A so sad poem with a tragic twist at the end. Some say that suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem, BUT If you lose the love of your life, there may not be a solution.

I have known couples that when one dies the remaining partner couldn't bare to continue living. I enjoyed reading your contest entry and wish you the best of luck.
