Very well written and humorous ... it would have been funnier if you had dealt with Trump's behaviour, gaffs etc., and the failure of many to vote.

It could have been more balanced (humour aside) had you addressed the increase in apparently racially motivated attacks - on both sides - since the vote, but I empathise with your choice to omit; after all, violent attacks should never be the subject of humour ... comment, yes, humour, no.

One final, minor, point - but in otherwise finely crafted work, you would want to know - "It is almost time for my nap, but I'm got more to say." Perhaps "I've" for "I'm".

very good, this is great, so much said in here that hits the head on the nail. I wonder who Hillary thinks the deplorable are now, It's not conservative rioting in the streets destroying a democracy. I'm not an American, but reading your piece here, you make more sense than most of the politicians around the world. It is time now to accept that Trump won, and won big. It's time to accept he will be around for the next 4 years at least. It's time to stop throwing their dummies out of the pram and get on with talking and getting on with putting your countries, (not just America) and the world to right, which is what it is all about. Excellent, this should be broadcasted on every TV channel everywhere. :) Sandra xxx

A very well written piece of political grandstanding.
Personally, I'm glad that Trump won. At least he'll take a stand against the Muslims. I can't believe that Americans were stupid enough to elect a muslim as president.
I only hope that some of his racist? policies flow through to Australia and we make it illegal to be a Muslim.

Using the counterpoint for the last 8 years does drive home a few misconceptions too.

because Trump won in democratic election - in a democratic?

You see. The didn't necessarily vote for Trump - They didn't.

You can continue live within your closed echo chambers - continue to live.
