Your accurate and well-written poem reminds us what a huge sacrifice was made that we might have fellowship with God and His Son. You have told the story so well, including the aftermath of the crucifixion, and concluded the poem with a dire warning. The Easter season is a time of reflection and gratitude for those of the Christian faith. Thank you for posting this most important reminder. MM

So well done. Amazing how you put it all together with the rhyming, word choice, and narrative. Scary this world and what happens in it. God must be crying.

This is a beautifully written poem about Palm Sunday, the crucifixion, resurrection, and the general story of Easter. It is apparent that you know this story and you are able to tell it so well with your passionate words. Good luck with this contest - it's the best entry I've read so far.

Thanks, Pam. If there is a better story out there, I have not seen it.

A very powerful telling of Christ death and resurrection in poetic form.
This required a great amount of time and effort to make this retelling perfect.
Best wishes

Oh yes indeed, the approaching endtimes are upon us, if indeed they are not already here, this is beautifully written Jim, you must have spent a fair bit of your time on this, and you've done a marvellous job, and a very thoughtful post it is too. The gospel of the kingdom, beautifully written, rhymed in language rich stanzas, well done, blessings Roy

Good job Paul

This is beautifully written as a powerful rendition of the Christian faith, meaning religion. But as I pondered your verse, I realized that it's also about a more personal faith - the belief in the power of Christ's sacrifice that is life changing.
Thanks for sharing and best wishes for the contest.
Stay safe and blessed

It seems we are at the same place, at the same time, in our thoughts. That said, I wish many would join in the feast He laid at our feet. I released one today, in my portfolio in similar vein.

Wow! Bravo! What a beautifully written poem about the life, death, and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ. The story didn't skip any part and rhymed: the first line, third line and second line, and fourth line so well. I really enjoyed reading this. Best wishes and blessings in the contest, my dear Christian brother.

Paul,
A beautiful gift for your family, friends, and fans. The retelling of Christ's triumphal entry into Jerusalem -- then merely days later -- when all the Jews turned against Him and screamed for his death in the cruelest way possible. It's so vexing and impossible to believe. But we know they sought for an earthly king to save them - not a spiritual king.
I would go back and cap all the instances to our Lord. Otherwise, this is lovely!

I know the story of Easter and how Jesus gave his life for us. But when you put it in this incredible poem, it really brings it all to life for me once again. Thanks for sharing. :)
