Yay! We've having thunderstorms but my daffodils are up and so are some of my tulips. It's a beautiful time of year.
I was thinking about you as you are missing Angel. One of our friends' dog recently passed and he is so despondent. I'm glad you are here to share your poetry and keep engaged with others!

    Helen,

Thank you for the wonderful review. I am glad your daffodils and tulips are up. Tell your friend I'm sorry for his loss. It's like losing a child :(

I know - it's like that plus all the years that the dear fur friend provided comfort through hard times.

Oh yes, sometimes it takes a little time for the previous season to let go itself before the next season takes, we just have to remember to be patient, beautifully written, Cecilia, blessings Roy

My mother's daffodils still bloom every March, she planted them over thirty years ago. Love your image in your poem. I too, see the daffodils smile as they sway, as if they are happy. Your words make the reader feel good and look forward to the arrival of spring.

I so want to see those daffodils, their yellow heads swaying and dancing in the wind. It's better than sitting inside this house, freezing and much much prettier.
Smiles, Carol

    Carol,

Thank you for the wonderful review. I am sorry that winter still has a grip on you. Here in Texas it's been in the 90's the last few days. From winter to summer.

The 90s...wow! It is a little warmer today...47 degrees but rainy.

They've got such impish little faces haven't they? And seem, indeed, to pop up over night, bursting open like popcorn! Your 5-7-5 verse makes us smile with delight as they herald the beginning of spring. Well done, Cecilia! Take care Debbie

    Debbie,

Thank you for the beautiful review. It's a sure sign of spring when the daffodils pop. It's like the green on the trees, it seems like they turned green overnight.

what a hopeful, upbeat poem. I'm hoping it's true. The snow from the storm we had a few days ago has melted and the sun is out so just maybe. Thanks for sharing.

    Marilyn,

Thank you for the great review. Hopefully you won't get one last storm. I know how the upper east coast is this time of year.

Daffodils always remind me of my grandma. She always had amazing flower gardens, but her daffodils seemed to stand up and made one take notice. LOl Thank you for the memory.
