-Very nice artwork and presentation, Nancy.
-You wrote a very good sonnet with a good topic.
-You paint a good word picture of the seasons
and what each one brings, and do a
good job relating that to love and a relationship.
-A very good opening verse establishes that premise.
-A good second verse about the summer blooms, and
with the last line give a hint as to what is going to come next.
-An excellent volta shows how things changed when
"passion cooled" and you had been fooled by the
promises of "love forever."
-A very good closing couplet.
-An excellent sonnet. Hope you do well in the contest.

I love how you antiquated the beauty of the rose to that of love. There were so many great one liners in this piece. "Reminding me of dreams that did not last." Is one of my favorite lines. The rhyming in this poem is very natural. I like the theme of the different seasons and how love comes and goes. This was an enjoyable read.

I'm not a poet and often can't grasp the full meaning of a poem, but this one is different. It felt light and fresh at the beginning...like spring and all it's glory. And then it was sad and melancholy with the autumn winds and the loss of something so precious. Beautiful!
