A very whimsical tale and humorous. You did a great job of making the dawrves come to life once again. It reminds me of the garden gnomes people have around their homes.

G'day Curt, Glad you got a smile; too much doom and gloom poetry around. I am a wheelchair gardener and the gnomes bring some colour to our winter landscape. Cheers, Kay.

how adorable your picture is :-)
good alliteration in Sleepy slept soundly
and in day was done/doused
and in Sleepy stretched/scratched
I love your verb choices
more good alliteration
I do think you're right about these fellas having far too much life in them to be plaster statues :-) Brooke

Hello Brooke, Thanks for reading and reviewing - I wanted to make people smile because there is too much sadness in the world and the poems presented are doom and gloom. I am sick of "Oh, woe is me," poems (your good self excluded) LOL. Kay XX

Yep, too much woeing going on for my taste.
LOL The real world has enough woe in it. Today's news about the tornadoes is a case in point. I want woe, all I have to do is turn on the news, or look in my mailbox for bills! LOL

Yep, Been watching the devastation on TV. Our electricity has gone up 20% - the pensioners are getting pushed around too much. Bloody cold here - winter in Oz. XX

I love how prices keep rising way way higher than any income increases we receive - every year it's just a bit worse than the year before...

Indeed, used to call Oz the lucky country; too many imports real and imagined. Big problem with boat people - Govt. can make up it's mind about anything - some want gay marriage passed - I don't - not in our churches please!!

Alliteration always amuses!
Sleepy slept soundly
Pulling out plants; pesky weeds prospered
Plaster dwarfs they are not
This is wonderfully cute and I love the alliteration. Thanks for posting. Great job.

G'day from Dwarfville in Oz! Being a wheelchair gardener I wanted some colour to help our winter landscape - we don't have snow here. Glad you enjoyed. Cheers from Aussie.

I chuckled at this cute poem, now I know what happens in the garden when we snuggle up in our beds.
It is a nice thought, those little gnomes getting on with gardening chores while we sleep.
Great poem, thank you for sharing.

Good! Glad it made you chuckle; too much sadness around today. I am collecting the little fellows to jolly up my winter garden - often hear noises in the wee small hours...have got a large senior gnome called Norman and he is the overseer of pulling out plants! LOL XXX Kay.

Pulling out plants; pesky weeds prospered
Plaster dwarfs they are not
Beginning sneaky work at ten O'clock
Keep your door closed - handy the hose!
Oh lord, all seven. You'll be having dwarfs sleeping in every tree. What a fun time reading this one girl.
