Whoever created us is a question even the most ardent Christian must have asked themselves at some point, and I take my hat off to you for putting down the same question in your very well written piece. To me, it's a bit like death, and what happens afterwards, nobody really knows, so to make it less scary to contemplate, heaven is a much greater choice of belief. Perhaps we delude ourselves, but do we have a choice? A very thought provoking piece of writing. Well done!

your satire was really delicious during reading. Coherence,
existential questions, browse the absurd and existing disorder...
Well, I will never know enough about life...if life is a game, this game should have however a rule we do not know. I know for sure, that just sometimes God has humor.
Have a good day!

I too think God has a sense of humor. With his responsibilities, I can't imagine not having one.

Thank you for your review and great comments.

This was clever writing, Marisa, but, as you indicate, you'll probably get some winded and heated reviews on this one, girlfriend. LOL I rather enjoyed the cheekiness, and at the heart of this are some pretty darn good questions and considerations. But when the lynch mob comes, don't say I didn't warn you. :)

Yes, Edward, I truly thank you for the warning and I fully expect to get severely burned on this one. Truth is, while I definitely believe in God, I have been sorely out of sorts with organized religion for years. It's okay though, my son is Catholic, so he will light a few candles and say some our fathers for me.

Just hope I did not insult you my friend, I would never want to do that. You must know by now that I an a pretty wacky character.

"Life is not a problem to be solved, but a reality to be experienced." . Now, this one is debatable, LOL. The rest of the stuff is true cos it is a n opinion to be valued and looked upon seriously for the unconvinced, LOL. Firstly, who said that life is a problem? When our cars break down, we say we got a problem. If we overcooked the sauce, we said it's an accident. And when it rains non-stop we say the weather is unkind and unreasonable. When the cat does not return we blame it on the husbands who let the cat out. Ok, enough. Life is not a problem until we choose to believe it is a problem. If we are not afraid to die (hope that lightning dun strike me now, LOL), then life is never a problem. If we should die of hunger, or from a deadly disease or lost a limb, life continues as long as we want it to. So life is not a problem. If it is, the nearest tallest building sky-diving with a parachute is just a short walk away, right? No, not suicide, just go up the top and take a breath of fresh pristine air to sober up , LOL. Life is an experience like windows XP(Experience)- everyday the experience teaches us something good, bad or ugly. Life was never bad until we chose to make it that way of blame the heavens. Good write and expressions. Thx for sharing. Last words: "Life is a journey NOT a destination". Only thing is - you may end up on the wrong side of teh face with heads smashed up, LOL. Get ready for the firing squad cos not many is as kind, understanding and compassionate (boasting a bit here, actually) as I AM! Good expressionism and controversial maybe. But, why not since not all of us are that gullible! Cheers and do congratulate yourself on this award winning masterpiece without a prize though.

Hi. The story is an eye opener. I couldn't have done better than you (a compliment). Now that the piece had already be written and your air vented, it's time to consolidate. Even if we chose to believe that there is a higher being, what do we have to lose? 'Faith and fate unite, we have nothing to lose but our chains' to paraphrase from Rousseau who said 'workers unite, you have nothing to lose but our chains'. If we chose to destroy the faith of others because of our opinions, have we been fair to them to forfeit them of the belief and chance of forgiveness and hope from a higher being? Well, if the good lord finds the two of us and only one can go skydiving, who do you think gets the honor? LOL. Cheers and be enlightened. Richard.

Well, Richard,as I say these serious contemplations are above my pay grade. I would ask that you keep in mind that this is satire and not meant to deprive anyone of their beliefs. We pretty much have two choices in this life, laugh or cry and I have chosen to laugh when I can.

As for the skydiving, your guess is as good as mine.
reply by 9999pool on 02-Dec-2012
Yes. So true. I guess both of us will not be skydiving today as i am sure both of us don't know how, LOL. I have also chosen to laugh so we are in unison then. Cheers. Ritchie the cheesszzzz...have a wonderful day, laughing that is, LOL.
