With what we saw last week 24 hours after two tornados, I am a lot more worried about the news suggesting the possibilities of bad storms. Dogs (and other animals) are great at warning us about bad storms. Your son has a point about people being rather uninspired about weather warnings (unless it is snow). The picture of the destruction looks like it was very fortunate that no one died.

Going through a tornado is terrifying. I can't imagine seeing a swirling black funnel coming towards me. I've weathered hurricanes and one or two blizzards. I'll take my chances with them. Lol. Thos was quite an engaging story. Gretchen

At 74 deg, it's unlikely that snowfalls may happen, I live in a part of Australia that will never experience snow, or hurricanes, except maybe the hills may have snow, they have cyclones on the east coast, one recently did some damage, beautifully written Barbara, blessings Roy ,

I love how your story pulls me right into that night like I'm experiencing it with you. The way you describe the battle between the north and south winds is so well done. I could feel the tension in the air! Codi waking you up and hiding in the bathtub was such a great detail. I also smiled at Steven with his Scooby-Doo blanket! Great job!

I'm thinking next week to write another story about Steven and Scooby-Doo. If I do it correctly. It'll be funny. Thank you for the support.

I'm glad you guys were alright. That last part I found a bit odd more worried about snow than a hurricane. I've grown up with tornado's snow and ice, but a hurricane that would scare me. I guess it all has to do with what you get used to what you are used to handling. Come to think about it, I was in an earthquake once it wasn't bad E 2 I believe but to me that was scarier than a tornado.

LOL I understand. I'm right there with you. I'm older than my brother. Mom mentioned when I went to college, she never knows what was going on at the High School because I wasn't there anymore. LOL

Quite often the worst part of a disaster is the anticipation, the worrying over the potential hazard. The actuality rarely matches or exceeds what people who have never experienced the actuality think it will be. LOL.

Here in Maine, we get very few hurricanes, but every once in awhile we get touched. Our bad weather usually comes in the winter when we may get a couple of feet of snow with a lot of wind.

True. Where Steve is, it's rare to get snow. It's almost subtropical. Thank you for the kind review.

This is an interesting story about the memory of the tornado. Tornadoes can be quite frightening. One hit the church we belonged to. That night our co-pastors wife was killed during the tornado. Something really large fell on her and her husband heard her cry. It was a horrible night. As Tom and I were headed to church we saw the tornado go right in front of us. It had already hit the church. I told Tom to take me by the Police Department. When I got there they put me on phones to help answer calls to check on loved one in our city. It was a crazy night! love and blessings, Teri

Tornados can be a very serious threat as they can change course very quickly (at least they do in movies).

I'm enjoying these posted chapters because if we all thought back, we could come up with some doozies!

Nicely done,

Just so you know I do read these...

Answering this review reminded me of another story, I can tell about Steven and Scooby-Doo. I never questioned if you read these or not. I do have some reviewers that I have questioned. LOL Thank you for the kind review.
