An excellent entry for the Monorhyme writing prompt. I wish I had a six left for this poem. It was beautifully written with such a smooth flow and the rhymes were perfect within the story of the cicada. Thank you for sharing.

You did a fine job with this monorhyme. It has an easy flow that parallels with the story. It's an interesting topic as well. I find it fascinating how most of their lives are spent burrowed under ground. We get them here in Michigan. Fortunately for just a brief time. Best wishes to you!

Hello poet,
Your Mono-rhyme reads smoothly with excellent meter
and varied mono-rhymes. Not an easy task as these poems are often forced.
The topic of nature and description of the cicada is well done
and the last line brings a smile.
Nicely done.
Good luck in the contest.
Robert
