teafor2,

This is a great poem. You have to wonder about that whole situation on who was guilty of those charges. I would think with him being a producer he would have ultimately been in charge and responsible for the safety of his crew.

This is such a good poem on such a real subject. Something that was in the news for a while and the untimely death of the woman too. The art work is amazing and goes great with the poem too! Keep up the great work!

That was such a very strange case. It seemed that someone really intended for a murder but whom, it's not clear. Why a real gun? And the way the news reported the story, it sounded like Baldwin would have been charged.

Death by Reel gun (Real?)
all criminal charges were droped (dropped)

Thanks for your thoughtful review and eagle eye catch of misspelling.
I mean for "dropped." The spelling of "Reel" is play on words for film
    equipment:-) teafor2

Ah. That's good to know about the title after all, it is about a moviemaker.

Incident/accident was investigated and all criminal charges were dropped :o)

Let's hope it's true and not just because a rich guy afforded a better lawyer.

You did a very good job of telling the story about the mishap that happened when the movie was being made. I just want to make one suggestion to you and that is in the title The word reel should be REAL

Thanks for your excellent review...The use of "Reel" here is a play on
    words for filming equipment.:-) teafor2

I actually wasn't familiar with Alex Baldwin prior to reading this poem! Your work prompted me to go on a deep dive and read about what happened. Very well written! I particularly enjoyed the rhyming of "prop" and "dropped"

This work has reached the exceptional level

This piece hit me with a jolt of reality. It's a stark, blunt statement of a tragic event, and it's incredibly effective. It snapped me out of whatever I was thinking and brought the weight of that incident crashing back. The raw honesty is jarring, but it's precisely what makes it so powerful. It's a reminder of how quickly things can go wrong, and the consequences are real. Good job on creating such a visceral reaction.

Oh my goodness, I hope this is fiction, love the play on words and the dark humour here. I don't know the word misheeded? Perhaps a note would help us understand it? Love Dolly x x x

Thanks for your honest response and query...As I understand it, it is
universal and common practice to treat all guns as if loaded, and to not point them at anything you do not intend to shoot...Apparently,
there was a "lack, want, or failure to heed or care...Thus, common
sense/rules were "misheeded." I hope this helps. teafor2

Guns are a problem in your country, we have a problem with knives, and I mean big ones! Love Dolly x

Your poem shares that tragic moment in a straightforward way. I really like how you bring the story of Alec Baldwin's incident into your poem. The line "misheeded an omen" stands out to me. For me you share that this almost had to happen. Well done on sharing such a sad story in your own way.

Yes, I remember that, I don't know the things and conditions surrounding the accusations, it just seemed terribly odd I'm afraid, beautifully written my friend, blessings Roy
Typo : a woman with (a) movie propel, 2: criminal charges were drop(p)ed.
