I wrote a poem for my wife sometime again and the first line says, "Your name is written on the wind" now "your ashes are borne on the wind." Beautifully written dear Gypsy, a great post, blessings Roy

Yes, this is a good haiku - full of depth and contemplation. It extends the moment of death and spreading ashes to beyond loss but to that of freedom with the elements. Great work.

This is an intriguing modern haiku. I thought the metaphor 'a sea of life' is very good, since the theme is death. It sounds like a specific place means a lot to you, although it did not specify which body of water. Nice read.

This is a beautifully written haiku. Beautiful photo that went well with your poem. The words flowed smoothly. I loved reading your poem. Good job. Very nicely done as always with your posts. I loved your line my ashes will ride the wind. It presents a sense of freedom if that makes any sense. I'm not sure how to explain it. Thank you for sharing your poem, and looking forward to reading more of your writing.

Yes, are right, when we die the spirit goes on, in the people we love and nature.... your review shows that you know what haiku is about.

Oh Gypsy, I know this is just a poem, but the thought of you dying is too much to think about. This poem is well done and has good sensory appeal. Of special note:
my ashes will ride the wind --
(good imagery)
Well chosen photo. Keep the blue waters flowing. Xo. M

It's just a poem, I don't plan to die until I'm 100 years old. LoL

Debi wrote one about death, and now you. It was all too much to think about--I do realize it's just a poem, but it's just a poem written by you.

I remember how you said that you wanted to be cremated and have your ashes strewn on the Mediterranean Sea, or maybe the Pacific? I like the "sea of life" because the sea is full of life and it also makes me think of the vastness of life itself as we look on anyone's life. Great job!

It seems hard to believe that our life ends as if we have never been here and we join all those souls who have been before, but here your ashes ride the wind for the final time, love Dolly x
