That's so cute! I guess the fireflies are the spotlight operators showcasing the flowers that they visit in the night. Great use of alliteration and clever metaphor in your haiku!

'Fireflies Sparkle', is short, succinct and very descriptive. It was a pleasure to both read and review this talented poet's work. I look forward to seeing your next post.

Gypsy:
I never knew that a group of fireflies was called a sparkle, but isn't it the perfect name for them. As a child on the farm - and when fireflies were more plentiful - my brother and I would have quart-sized Mason jars in which we would place our captured fireflies. Of course, we had holes in the lid for ventilation purposes. Once we got enough to light our way, we would go in for the evening.
I love your haiku and the author's notes you supplied for your readers. Thanks for sharing.

Your presentations are alays so lovely from your picture choices, to your writes and then the decorative addition at the end. Beautiful and I wish you all the best as you offer such beauty.

This is a wonderful presentation. It has a beautiful picture from Pinterest and colorful lettering centered on a black background. What is not to love? The words are lovely too. I especially love the last line...' blossoms in the spotlight.' I haven't seen fireflies since I was a small child, but I still remember the awe at the sight of them. Magical, how they light up the plants around them. Thanks for bringing back the memories of that time in my life.
Have a good evening,
Jesse

Your image is quite unique. Like your poetic words, also. There is something about fireflies and how they sparkle at night. And to try and catch them is fun for the kids, too.
