Suns delight

by Chrissy710

in the sun
oh what fun
on my mat
like a cat
stretched out
and without
not much on
just my thong
bare my skin
let sun in
warm my bones
other zones
on my face
e'vry place
my CD
plays for me
music soothes
stress removes
free my mind
I unwind
so I'll stay
here all day
what delight
is sunlight

After a long, cold, locked-down winter here in Ballarat, Victoria, Australia, the sun is shining and the sky is blue. A nice Spring day so I have had my first sunbake out on my sunbaking deck listening to my favourite baking CD (Medicine Woman) I stayed our 2 hours and feel great. (please no lectures)

My poem is 3 syllables per line With rhyming couplets

Thanks to Janet Canerdy for the heads up for this style

I just wrote it as I felt the line appear so I have used end couplet rhymes also ( No punctuation or capitals)

Thanks for reading my work

Thanks to willie for the artwork 'sunny'

Cheers Christine
