Angie and Hal

Angie tossed in bed. She argued with Hal earlier over something she now regretted.

There was a knock at the door. She sat up, with tears in her eyes, thinking it was Hal.

She leapt from bed and ran to answer. She was right. It was Hal. "Oh baby, come in. I'm so sorry."

Angie hugged Hal as he whispered his love and how he couldn't live without her. Angie was correct about his feelings. At least half correct...

Hal pulled a pistol and Angie heard two shots fire before falling. Semiconscious, she heard Hal scream, "You broke my heart and rejected my love. You're the devil! I cannot live without you!"

With the barrel in his mouth, he fired. Hal collapsed on Angie as she took her last breath.
